It is an inescapable fact of life that we change over time. The problem with being a musician is that there is usually a permanent record of these changes on the fronts of album covers and in the photos friends take during concerts.

It has never been deliberate but I have rarely looked the same for very long. I have had varying levels of facial hair and I had a haircut round about 1980 and another in 1984.

Here, then, is a chronological map assembled for the first time in one incriminating block!
