5. Five Hand Reel recordings
This site is built to the W3C standards for website authoring. If you can read this (and you are using a graphics-enabled browser), your browser is probably not standards-compliant and so, while the content will still be perfectly readable, the layout on this page will probably look a bit weird. If at all possible you should consider using a standards-compliant browser. I seriously recommend Mozilla Firefox. It's fully standards-compliant - and best of all, it's free!
Where can I get the Five Hand Reel recordings?
Sorry, I haven't the faintest idea.
There seems to be some confusion about who actually owns those recordings. The only thing I'm sure of is that, whoever owns them, it's not the band!
There was a compilation released a few years ago but I have no idea if this was a bootleg. I have heard that some people are resorting to finding someone who has Five Hand Reel albums and getting them to make a copy. I have no opinion about this as I have never received a penny in royalties for even the official copies of any of the Five Hand Reel recordings so in this instance it is highly unlikely that I would be complaining that those making illicit copies were stealing from the artists.
