This site is built to the W3C standards for website authoring. If you can read this (and you are using a graphics-enabled browser), your browser is probably not standards-compliant and so, while the content will still be perfectly readable, the layout on this page will probably look a bit weird. If at all possible you should consider using a standards-compliant browser. I seriously recommend Mozilla Firefox. It's fully standards-compliant - and best of all, it's free!
DICK Gaughan has always resisted the idea of a compilation album, but has finally relented. This 2-CD set is the result, and provides a handsome cross-section of his work, including tracks licensed from hard-to-find albums on Topic Records and the German Wundertute label. They range in time from The Auchengeich Disaster in 1975 to songs from last year's Outlaws and Dreamers, and include his own songs, traditional material, songs by writers like Alan Taylor and Brian McNeill, and a couple of guitar instrumentals. The selection is Gaughan's own, giving the set an added authority, although the music already has that in abundance.
